Welcome to World History

Welcome to the history of modern empires and civilizations, otherwise known as World History.  I love teaching this class because we have the chance look at many different cultures and civilizations and compare them to one another. 

During this course we will be discussing major trends and developments in many different civilizations from social, political and economic perspectives.  We will focus on what these peoples have left to us including architecture, science, art, religion and political structures, and cultural/regional identities. 

This class is a space to learn academic skills around doing project research and essay writing.  It will include several projects and we will spend significant time focusing on skills that will help you manage these kinds of projects better.  You will also be introduced to my two great loves in history, maps and timelines, so expect to spend time creating and working with both of these things while in this class.
